She designs activities, campaigns and events of kindness that inspire people to give attention and affection. Over 300,000 farmers have committed suicide in India in the last 15 years due to financial hardships Once Upon A Doug is a non-profit project helping women from cotton farming communities around Wardha/Vidharbha in Maharashtra. it helps these women get reliable, secondary income from hand-made, up-cycled cotton bracelets called Doug. Proceeds from the sales go back into the project and the community. Poorva Shingre works for Once upon a Doug project. Why does she do that? For her Being a giving human is far greater than being human.
